The
rugged Raider defense slowed a talented Redskin offense, chalking up
an interception by Buchman and a safety by Swanson. In a tightly
played first half, the Raiders scored on a pass from Ferm to Balke
and on a run by Wallace, while the Redskins scored on a nice pass
play. Ferm scored on the Raiders' first drive in the second half,
then, following the safety, Ferm hit Brennan with a TD pass. That
play was set up by a 52-yard scamper by Wallace. The Redskins
finished up the scoring with a TD on the ground.

Eagles potent offense, well balanced between the pass and the run,
put 26 points on the board by half time, then 25 more in the second
half. Hard running Joe Ory scored both Cardinal touchdowns.

The
Raiders broke open a fairly tight contest with a touchdown with one
second left in the first half, and then a touchdown on their first
play from scrimmage in the second half. Gutsy 49er QB Ryan Gullett
provided most of their offense with several nice passes and some
effective scrambling.
Dallas
Center Eagles 38, Grimes Bucs 19 The
mighty Eagles got a stern test from the Bucs but prevailed to stay
undefeated. The Eagles' passing combination of QB Adam Moline to
Tyler Ellerman was tough to contain. The Bucs' offense was led by
the gutsy running of Bobby Degman, while Jordan Sump also
contributed some firepower. |
